Accountant fees
How Much Does an Accountant Cost for an Influencer?
Written by Waqas Sagar ACA FCCA FMAAT · Chartered Accountant · Last reviewed 22 October 2026
How it works
Most creator accountants charge a fixed fee rather than by the hour. The fee reflects the work needed to complete your year, not just the time spent on your tax return.
The biggest price drivers are your turnover, whether you are a sole trader or a limited company, how many platforms pay you, whether you are VAT-registered, whether you have overseas income, and the state of your records.
Our self-employed packages are priced by turnover band and shown openly on our fees page. Starter excludes bookkeeping; Complete includes it. Limited company packages are priced separately because they include accounts, Corporation Tax and payroll work.
What changes the price
Turnover matters because more income usually means more transactions to categorise and more planning decisions. That is why our self-employed fees step up by turnover band rather than jumping without warning.
Structure matters because a limited company has more filings than a sole trader: company accounts, a Corporation Tax return, a confirmation statement and usually payroll for your director salary.
Complexity matters too. Several platforms, overseas payouts in dollars, VAT returns, gifted items to value and agency statements to reconcile all add work. Messy or missing records add the most, because the work has to be rebuilt before it can be checked.
If your situation changes during the year — for example you register for VAT or move into a company — we tell you before the fee changes, and the team agrees any package change with you first.
According to Waqas Sagar, Chartered Accountant at influencers.accountants, ask what is not included as well as what is — that is where surprise bills come from.
Example
Maya is a TikTok creator and sole trader. She picks her turnover band on our fees page, sees the monthly price for Starter and Complete, and chooses Complete because she wants bookkeeping done for her. The price is confirmed in her engagement letter before anything is charged.

What's included
- Self Assessment or company year-end filing
- Expense review for creator costs
- Tax estimate and payment reminders
- Email support from your accountant
- HMRC correspondence about your filings
What's not included
- Statutory fees, such as Companies House charges
- Catch-up years before we were appointed (quoted separately)
- HMRC investigations beyond routine letters (quoted separately)
No hidden fees: anything outside your agreed scope is quoted in writing before we start.
Common mistakes
- 1Choosing the cheapest return-only service, then paying extra for every question.
- 2Not mentioning overseas income or VAT, so the quote is wrong.
- 3Leaving records until January, which adds catch-up work.
From our client work: We often see creators who were quoted a low price elsewhere, then billed separately for VAT, brand-deal reviews and HMRC letters.
