What tax do influencers pay in the UK?

< 1 min read

Influencers in the UK must pay Income Tax on earnings from brand deals, sponsorships, affiliate links, ad revenue, and gifted products (if they’re part of a paid deal). If their total income exceeds £1,000 annually, they must register for Self Assessment with HMRC. Those earning over the VAT threshold (£90,000 as of 2024/25) must also register for VAT. National Insurance Contributions may also apply, depending on earnings.
